To sell or not to sell...

As the season brings a chill, I fall in love with southern Arizona all over again. I first came to seAz in October 1982, the year of the huge floods that very same month. I have lived here pretty much ever since, and have experienced most every extreme of nature that is likely to happen here. There is nowhere I would rather be at this time of year, honestly, but I do still fantasize about Montana or Texas or anywhere the west speaks western and there are cowboys everywhere you go. And fishing. And really good bar-b-q. When we think of listing and selling our home there are reasons why we should and reasons why we won't. Right now, we are in stay here mode due to the cool weather and green grass. Horses are fat and happy. Beautiful sunsets. Great motorcycling. Staying put for now, enjoying peaceful days and restful nights. Grateful for my comfortable home. How about you? Ready to make a change?

Busmans Holiday

We've been looking for a new place to live, here in Texas. It's strange to be on the other side of the realtor/client coin, and I must say I'm enjoying it. Anne Land, our agent, is so good, I have been learning a lot just househunting with her.

I was at a roping last evening, beautiful sunset over the Huachuca Mountains, in fellowship with some friendly folks and it occured to me that this is what most everyone is looking for. A little piece of the planet where they can relax and share good times with friends and family.
My joy as a realtor is to connect the dots. Whether they be first time home buyers or seasoned homeowners I love to work with people to find them the home of their dreams.
Fixer upper or drop dead gorgeous, there is that special place for you, if you're looking. Now is the time to buy, the prices are the best in years, the interest rates are low and the selection is terrific. Not to mention the first time homebuyers tax credit of up to $8000.
I'd love to help you through the homebuying process, every step of the way.

Jump Right In!

Once you walk through the door, you know. This is the place for me....or, nope this isn't it at all. That's for the buyer, but for me, as the agent showing the house, I fall in love with plenty of houses all the time. I can visualize myself living in some of them so easily I just want to jump right in and make an offer myself so that I can take up residence in the beautiful home of the day. Then I come home and tell my husband all about it, start him packing in his mind, and build a fantasy around our new life-in town-in the brand new subdivision-bicycling distance to everything-or whatever the theme might be. Although we are happily settled in our own lovely location, there is always this restless longing to try something else, fueled by the reality of showing dream homes to others. But in the end we stay put, becuase we love it here. Ideally that's the home I'd like to help everyone find. The one that fits so well, you just know it's home for you. Whatever it takes, it's out there somewhere and when we find it, you will jump right in.
